Attendees: Jean Redus, Stephen Fuller Rowell, John Roberts, Chris Choo (GRRCD), Richard Flasher 1. Approval of Minutes : Jean had revised some of the minutes from the Feb. meeting and will be recirculating them to the Board 2. Financial Report : John reported that there is $644 in our account. No financial action beyond the $110 to SOS for co-sponsorship of the 5th District candidate’s debate 3. Hoyt Creek: Richard Flasher, a long time resident on Bones Rd., reported on the significant erosion that is occurring in Hoyt Creek on his property. This is located downhill from a Kendall Jackson Vineyard installed approx. 10 yrs. ago. Richard felt that the erosion may be caused by the increased runoff generated from the design of the vineyard. The creek has been incised down to the clay level and is contributing a large amount of sediment to Green Valley Creek. He will hopefully be meeting with a rep of KJ this coming week to discuss the issue. Chris Choo and John Roberts will also try to attend the meeting. Stephen supported the hope for an amiable solution. 4. SCWC Developments: AB2121 – Instream Flow comments from interested parties have been extended until May 1. The SCWC is in the process of developing comments. 5. US Standard Grants Program: postponed until next meeting (Zeno’s) 6. West County Wastewater Issues: This past week the BOS took over lead agency from Camp Meeker re: the pipeline project proposed to connect Occidental and CM to the Guerneville Sewer treatment Plant. Although the pipeline appears to be dead, the BOS certified the SEIR of the project in order to forstall the $1000/day fine that Occidental is accruing. There seems to be support from both SCWA and RWQ Board to pursue local solutions for wastewater disposal . The proposed pipelines out River Rd. and Green Valley Rd. from the Guerneville Treatment Plant remain in play. SCWA is still looking for interested parties who might want the wastewater out these routes. 7. Vision Statement: Jean has sent out possible dates that the Board can hold a meeting in Mar. Board members to respond. 8. Graton Warehouse Expansion: Development Permit info is on the Yahoo Groups website. Stephen suggests possible mitigations could be pursued on Atascadero Creek near the project if needed. Could the owners help? John and Stephen may visit the site and look at the condition of the creek near the area of the proposed project. 9. Casino Project: The SCWC held a tech meeting last week concerning water availability for the casino project proposed in Rohnert Park. The water basin is severely overdrawn in the area and if the casino relies on groundwater for their supply the impacts could be great on the surrounding area. Water supply from the SCWA is almost totally allocated at this time. If Station Casinos and the Graton Rancheria Tribe wish to work meaningfully with SCWC, members would be very willing to participate. 10.. Action Items: Jean followed up on the action items list and will make it a regular feature of the monthly meetings.
